A Servant of The Author

Hello! I am Patrick Lauser, a servant of God and of all servants of God. There are two central purposes and themes of my life, work, and interests, which I refer to (for the moment anyway) as Strange Fantasy and Right Culture.

Strange Fantasy

“There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space, and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone.”
– Rod Serling, in the series one intro to The Twilight Zone

As aptly fitting as this is (especially with the sound and visuals of the intro), for explaining what I mean by Strange Fantasy, the actual Twilight Zone series rarely was Strange Fantasy as far as I know (though it peeks in often). The X-Files would be closer. Finnish mythology’s Kalevala is spot on, as is Harry Potter.

Right Culture

Right Culture is a detailed look at the absolute basics. It is based entirely on reason, as God has commanded. It doesn’t accept anything or anybody unless there is a reason to.

If you or someone you know is interested in or has similar goals, it would be good to have a chat or two.

Here’s a book to read meanwhile.

Jorgan the Sphere

A Foreshadowed Way

A surreal journey, a dark fairy-tale.

Cover of "Jorgan the Sphere: A Foreshadowed Way".

Jorgan the sphere in his hunger follows a shadow into shadows, and seeks an end to his longing in lands full of cruel and indifferent creatures. He meets those who even in the darkest places work goodness, those that are strong, those that are weak, and those that are quite odd.

You can buy the ebook in mobi, epub, pdf, and other formats on Smashwords (it’s free at the moment, during July), or you can get it for becoming a Patron at tier two or above. Or you can get a copy if you tell me correctly what the Hebrew on the cover says!

The paperback is on Amazon (the preview quality is bad by the way).

Interactive Art

(Aka games.)

They’re free online games I made, turmeric scented.

My favourite is .

The most recent is A Pilfering Pucks Problem.

More recently I remade one of my favourite older games, I Spy Baby Dragons.

The largest is Auldhame.

The oldest (a text adventure) is Gri Leven.

The smallest is Thai Peanut Sauce.

The hardest ones (I allow you to cheat) are the two forest games, Out of the Forest, and Into the Forest.
